A Celebration of Resistance.

Our documentary screens on Whakaata Māori @ 7pm on Waitangi Day Tuesday 6 February. It’s on just before Merata Mita’s feature Patu! an excellent film based on the 1981 Springbok tour.

In 1972 students and activists formed OHMS…Organisation to Halt Military Service. Crazy pranks & civil disobedience up and down the country saw Compulsory Military Training kicked for touch. Norman Kirk’s incoming Labour government wiped CMT from the statute books. Boot camps were no more. Some were fined, a few went to prison. These are their stories.
